[Paris Trip] Photos are now up of January's trip to Paris. (February 5, 2007)
[Dave and Chuck Show] Come tune in to the Dave and Chuck Show from noon to 2pm on Sunday, I'll be the musical guest! There's also a new page to check out new music as it comes down the chute, click through to the Music page and all will be revealed. (December 29, 2006)
[Update and a new Weblog] It's been a two years since I updated this feed, I guess it's time. 2004 was tumultuous. 2005 was a great year. 2006 is so far even better. Life is great, I've just moved back to downtown Toronto (from nearly-downtown Toronto), work at EI is good, friends are good, Mom and Dad came out to visit recently, and Irina is now 9. Last weekend was the Flyfish@ North-east Conclave (aka NEC) on the Grand River. The fish were cooperative, camping was cool. About 25 people made it out this year, and after nearly a decade of this I know these people better than most of my relatives. The link under the title (Update and...) takes you to my MSN Spaces site, which contains some scraps from the last year and photos that have almost nothing to do with me. Some are memories, others just crack me up (like most of the Everyone, Everything gallery). I suppose all that should go on this site but hey, MSN made it easy. Take care, have fun, call often. [Another C# Pontifex Implementation] Thanks to Craig Dunn for providing this link to a C# Pontifex implementation he wrote with Beta 2 back in August 2002! (May 3, 2004)
[C# Implementation of Solitaire / Pontifex Encryption Algorithm] After finishing Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon last week I was surprised to find that the Pontifex algorithm it describes was not yet implemented for .NET. So, I present two C# versions of Pontifex: as a fat commented .aspx page and as a lean class assembly. Go forth and optimise. (March 1, 2004)
[Resume online] I'm not available, but here's a little more about me. (Feb 29, 2004)
[2nd Article on MSDN: Rich Exception Handling] This time the link goes straight to the value-added blog, you can hit the article from there. In my second article I discuss how to provide custom error messages to developers (based on IP address) and helpful feedback mechanisms for end-users (minus the ugly messages). Along the way, learn how the Exception object works at the code, Page and Application levels, what the obstacles are to building your own version of the ASP.NET detailed error page, and how to overcome those obstacles. (January 15, 2004)
[Article featured on MSDN: A Content Server] My first article for MSDN's ASP.NET Developer Center is now live, check it out! And this week I get the cool experience of seeing it at the top of the MSDN home page. The article walks through a content presentation system which serves data in several formats, each with the appropriate extension. (January 12, 2004)
[New Invention Allows Humans to Live Forever] Alex Chiu doesn't just ponder immortality, cloning, world peace and space travel, he's making them happen with magnetic immortality rings, synthetic eggs, and 3-colour illustrations. (October 11, 2003)
[Now as RSS] Now you can keep up to date with changes to this site in your favourite RSS aggregator! (October 10, 2003)
[MVP Award] As of today I am officially a Microsoft MVP! (October 1, 2003)
